LG Optimus PAD

LG makes some great smartphones, so it's hardly a surprise to discover that it's joining the tablet party with the Optimus Pad.
LG Optimus Pad Tablet that features a unique 8.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display offering uncompromising viewability, and is powered by Android version 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. Powered by Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS along with applications which has been especially designed for large screen tablets the LG Optimus Pad features 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor with built-in 3D hardware accelerator to deliver lag-free web browsing and quick app start up.

The LG Optimus Pad has a built-in 3D camera - actually dual 5 Megapixel snappers - enabling users to capture vivid image and video content to be viewed on a 3D TV (which you will need ) or shared on the web via YouTube 3D.

As well as the 1080p Full HD playback, while one of the cameras can record 720p – the 3D recording is not HD. You also get a 2 Megapixel camera on the front for video calling.
Also known as the T-Mobile G-Slate, the new LG Optimus Pad tablet features an 8.9-inch diagonally and 149.4-mm horizontally display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution that is comfortable to use one-handed. The capacitive touchscren display has a 15:9 aspect ratio and offers Full HD 1080p decoding, allowing users an immersive multimedia experience in a full 1280 x 768 WXGA resolution widescreen display. Quad-band 2G GSM and dual band 3G HSDPA 10.2 MHz network ready.
The Tablet also includes 32GB internal memory and features Multi-touch screen option, proximity sensor, Accelerometer for auto-screen rotation, Gyroscope, digital compass and light sensor for auto brightness adjustment.
For connectivity, the LG Optimus Pad offers WiFi 802.11b/g/N, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA, and USB 2.0 port for wired connection and charging.
Other features of LG Optimus Pad tablet includes built-in GPS with A-GPS support, 3.5 mm audio out port, HDMI digital out port, audio media player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR, video player supporting MPEG4, H.263, H.264, built-in client for Facebook, Picasa, and Twitter, document viewer and access to Android Market with over 100,000 free and paid apps.
